Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel from 04:30 to 05:00 then drive to Cusco very early in the morning, and go towards Mollepata. We will see the town of Limatambo (2100 meters above sea level), an important access point to the city of Cusco during Inca times during this four-hour bus trip. Upon arrival at Mollepata (2800 masl) we will take care of our camping equipment, backpacks and food for the horses. We will begin our ascent towards Cruzpata (3100 meters above sea level) where we will see various plants, native birds, and the Apurímac River Canyon (which is one of the deepest in Peru).
In Cruzpata we will have lunch, and then we will leave for Soraypampa (3900 meters above sea level). We will see small groups of houses, flora, small wild birds and spectacular views of the snow-capped Humantay (5902 meters above sea level) along the way. After approximately 4 hours of walking, we will arrive at our camp in Soraypampa. From here you can see the majestic Apu Salkantay (6271 meters above sea level).
Every day 14:00-18:30 We will meet at the office at 1:30 in the afternoon, then the bus will pick us up, after that we will start our City Tour. We will begin by visiting the Qoricancha, a wonderful ceremonial construction built during the Inca heyday. Later we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco.
In the Cathedral visitors can see beautiful ancient paintings, including the famous painting of the Last Supper, showing Christ and the apostles about to dine on a guinea pig. Later, we will head to the northern outskirts of Cusco, towards the Inca construction, such as Sacsayhuamán. Here we will walk through huge Inca walls, built with massive rocks weighing up to 130 tons, well equipped, with absolute perfection. Then, we will move on to another important Inca site known as Qenqo, a strange place, with underground passages, hidden in its perfect carved stones inside where the Incas probably mummified their dead. To finish our tour in the city, we will push even further to visit the Inca Baths of Tambomachay and the PucaPucara military viewpoint. and finally back to Cusco. LET’S VISIT: Qoricancha, the Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.

Early in the morning we will leave Aguas Calientes (1700 masl) and go to the archaeological site of Machupicchu (2450 masl) and we will have a guided tour of approximately 3 hours visiting the most important, amazing places, and then we will have time to take photographs, explore or climb the mountain where Waynapichu one can experience spectacular views of all of Machupicchu, the valleys and mountains that surround it, or we can visit the Temple of the Moon or the fabulous Inca Bridge. In the afternoon we will meet in the town of Aguas Calientes where, if you wish, you can visit and relax in its hot springs. In Aguas Calientes we will have lunch and then take the train to Cusco, where we arrive at night.
