At a depth of 4,160 meters, the Colca Canyon is the deepest canyon in the world, twice as deep as the Grand Canyon of the United States, it is the third most visited tourist destination in Peru with 120,000 visitors each year. The Colca Valley gets its name from the mud and stone granaries built into the cliffs or caves, called “colcas”, where pre-Inca cultures stored their crops and seeds.

Itinerary
In the morning the mobility picks them up, and then begins our trip to one of the deepest canyons in the world, taking the Yura highway, bordering the snowy Chachani towards Pampa Cañahuas (Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve) (4,500 meters above sea level) . habitat of the beautiful South American camelids, the vicuñas. In the bojedales of Tocra we can see a variety of migratory birds, among which are flamingos. We will pass through the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura). We will stop at the volcano viewpoint, which is also the highest area of the road (4,800 meters above sea level) from where we will appreciate a large part of the western mountain range. About 1:30 p.m. Approximately we will arrive in Chivay, we will settle in the hotel, then we will go out for lunch.
After lunch around 3:00 pm. Mobility will take us to the picturesque town of Coporaque, from where we will begin a walk of approximately 2 hours, to enjoy nature and the beautiful landscapes on this side of the valley; as well as a pre-Inca cemetery located on the slopes of a mountain. After the walk we will enjoy the thermal baths in La Calera whose thermo-medicinal waters range between 35º to 38º degrees Celsius in temperature in the pools.
Afterwards we will return for dinner accompanied by a folkloric show.

06:30 We will go to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, a strategic observation point of the canyon and the spectacular flight of the condor. On the way back we will stop in the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque; which have beautiful colonial churches, as well as the Choquetico and Antahuilque viewpoints, from where we will observe the impressive terraces of the valley, the tombs and pre-Inca models.

5:00 to 6:00 pm. Arrival in the city of Arequipa.
